Make a phrase, not a checklist.

Start slowly with a few notes. Listen to the sound of each one against the root or a matching chord. Repeating a small idea with a new ending is often more musical than running up and down an entire scale.

Use your ears alongside the diagram. The highlighted notes are a useful palette, not a guarantee that every note will fit every chord.

Use C major pentatonic. Limit yourself to C, D, and E for one minute, then add G.
